This past weekend Grayson and I headed over to the Milk and Bookies 4th annual Story Time Celebration, a fundraising event full of family fun with celebrity readers, story inspired arts & Crafts, photoflip books, literary charachters (we saw Cat in the Hat and Max from the Wild Things!), a yummy lunch and of course, Milk and Cookies!
Grayson and friends got to DO THE GIVING! In a giant bookstore, children got to select, inscribe books with their personal message and then donate books back. Milk & Bookies is giving the books to local school children, who have no books of their own. The event was a complete success, interactive for the kiddos, raised awareness and was such a great change of pace away from electronic devices!
