My Friday Favorite this week is Mr. Selfridge, the new classic hit TV show! From the performances of the star studded cast to the storyline, I've been hooked ever since it aired—and the costumes make it that much easier. Period pieces (thanks to Janie Bryant for Mad Men!) are gaining momentum and popularity in the television world, and it's great to also celebrate fashion costume design for these visually striking television shows.The intricate costumes of Mr. Selfridge bring me to one word: ROMANTIC! The eloquent hats, bustles, even menswear take me to a time past that has unbelievable craftsmanship in design. Here are some of my favorite looks designed fantastically by the show's costume designer, James Keast!
