The city’s historic centre is characterized by baroque churches, neoclassical casas, and cobblestone streets. Virtually free from traffic lights, mega-retailers and fast-food chains, The city has boutique hotels, a vibrant nightlife to add to its colonial era-charm, as well as festivals and folklore that seem to defy the passage of time.
