I was excited to pay tribute to the one and only, inspiring and ever-so-talented Diane Von Furstenberg by visiting the Journey of a Dress exhibit at the LACMA this past week. The showcase celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the dress that started it all - the wrap dress!!! Diane designed this signature piece at the young age of 23 and it was featured in WWD. She says it transformed her life — paying her bills, her kids’ college fees and affording her a lifetime of freedom. As you enter you view an extensive installation of archived photos dating from the 70's to present day - fashion campaigns, editorials, and famed stars all wearing the iconic dress. The gallery displays some never before seen photos and dedicated portraits by artists and photographers such as: Andy Warhol, Chuck Close and Annie Liebowitz, surrounding you in a world of Diane. I really enjoyed one incredible piece - a digitized statue of Diane with over 20 iconic woman literally flying out of her mouth! The main room is decorated with sweeping prints from ceiling to floor creating another story. Mannequins line up forming a pyramid shape dressed in 4 decades of DVF designs from the popular animal prints, to the geometric patterns and the classics. I have continued to marvel at Diane Von Furstenberg's work over the years - she really knows how to design for a woman's body and creates true lady-like silhouettes. My absolute must-haves are her silk blouses that are feminine, sexy and sometimes with just enough sheer. The display will be up until April 1st, so if you are a lover of art and fashion like myself this is something you won't want to miss!

Ahhhh, exactly what I was looking for, designs that are Modern, Fresh, and Beautiful, thats right, this Friday's Favorite is Rebecca Taylor .... her Spring 2014 Collection is just that! This new collection shifts gears leaving the androgynous boyish rocker glam looks behind for fall, yet continues to turn heads with accents of perforated leather, denim, and gives us feminine shapes, crystal embellishments, soft hues and floral prints, surely something every girly-girl is destined to fall in love with, I most definitely have.

Collaboration prevails this year, with so many designers attaching their names to the brands we love. For my Friday Favorite, I took a look at a few noteworthy partnerships that I'd love to share with you. The styles are "In BLOOM" and charged for Spring fashion! As always, I show love to all creative endeavors. Enjoy some lookbook snippets. The campaigns are all named LOVE!

I am so inspired by this perfect post from my beloved Intermix, which has sparked my thirst for new all ambience inclusive destinations paired with fashion. Starting with the ever so enticing Istanbul and Greece...take a look!
Istanbul, Turkey:
Symi, Greece:

Laguna Beach California:
My hometown! An artists haven, intense surf and sand beaches, with the right mix of old hollywood sophistication!
Careyes, Mexico:
Founded by Gian Franco Brignone, this destination is an absolute visionary that successfully draws in a unique international community! All It's colorful cliffside casitas, architectural villas, infinity pools, world class polofields, and home of the turtle sanctuary. Careyes is like no other place in the world. Where else can you walk a 3 mile long untouched beach with a surf that covers you in a salty mist that is just heaven?
St. Tropez:
Hands down one of the most charming small ports along the French Rivera or Côte d'Azur. It's fashionably chic, elegant and sophisticated—the days are never long enough to bask in the sun along the Pompeleone Bay, or arrive by boat to the magical port with its salmon colored rooftops and the smell of 100 year old pine trees, eucalyptus trees and vineyards. It carries a family vibe by day and sexy at night...
Singitia Reserves, South Africa:
These 5 star camps are in a league of their own. With a level of sophistication and strong Eastern influences. The service like no other place in the WORLD! On your daily game drives, you will experience the raw beauty of untouched nature, the incredible wild animals in their natural habitats and scenery that is endless... it is a magical place that will evoke tons of emotions and take you back to your roots. Photographically, it's stunning!
